#ShortStoryChallenge: #LetMeLoveYou @ #SylLit #Bookish #AmReading

And the short story challenge continues. I’m pretty proud of myself as I build a short story database on my website where readers can come and enjoy my short stories. It’s so exciting as I hone my skills and increase the wonderfulness of storytelling.

Please let me know how you like this one.

This definitely will become a story start. I loved the premise and I think I can take it somewhere readers will very much enjoy.

Let Me Love You came from the premise of would a man share his wife to get ahead in the world and how could I formulate a story that would “justify” the sin I wanted to introduce to the reader. Now I know that sounds odd, but when you are constantly working on stories that are new and different, then you are constantly working on how to make sin justifiable.

Only For One Night #ShortStoryChallenge #SundayShort by @SylviaHubbard1 #SundayBlogShare

shortstorychallengeOnly For One Night is a story starter I pulled from my Google Docs Ideas. I would have kept going, I really would have, but I decided to leave it as I’m famously known as – The Cliffhanger Queen.

I’m happy to note this is under 5k words. I’m starting to understand why other novelists love short stories. I’m still a lover of longer stories, but it’s kinda fun to quickly move a story out on paper in a short time, but give the reader so much behind every word and every scene.

And finally, let me know how you like this story and the others. I really would like to know what you think of them.

shortstorychallengeThe Mystery Healer came from a story I wanted to write a long time ago, but really kept putting it off and decided to just put a little down on paper.

I’m happy to note this is under 5k words. I’m really getting better at this.

His African Sweetheart #ShortStoryChallenge by Sylvia Hubbard

Here’s another Short Story Challenge. Let me know how you like it in the comments and feel free to share on your social media or the blog, just make sure you use only the social media buttons below.

My brain was all over in this one. It’s really hard to pinpoint the flow in so short of time in 3rd person for me, but I was able to come to a path and find out my main character’s way to where she wanted to go.

I thought I was going to shuck the story and for the male protagonist, it was hard trying to tell his story with just the point of view of the female protagonist.

This one is a little longer than the last one. The word count on this is almost 5K.

He Touched Me #ShortStoryChallenge #SundayShort by Sylvia Hubbard

The #ShortStoryChallenge pushed me to do this and I kinda liked it. I haven’t written a first-person story in a while and I certainly haven’t done a short story since Wrongly His. I loved the new hashtag floating around encouraging readers and I decided to dive in on the challenge and give my readers a treat. Let me know how you like it.

Short description

The Heart of Detroit Series consist of the Five Novellas currently available for the Heart Family.

Extended description

The Heart of Detroit Compilation has the following stories from the Heart Family:

  • Silent Lynx
  • BabyDoll
  • Red Heart
  • Cabin Fever
  • Diamond in The Rough

With Author’s Notes, Bio and even the Heart’s Family Tree. If you have any problems, please return to my website and contact me.

I’ve place this compilation in the order that I believed to have written them in and the order the readers should read them in. Bear with me in the formatting because this is the first time I’ve tried to put a Table of Contents inside of a document and Im not always the brightest light bulb.

In all this book is about 240 pages, which isnt bad for a nice size book and Im pretty glad about that.

Like I said, I will be adding about two more Heart of Detroit Series before Onyx and Lethals stories come to light. They’ll be short, but you’ll enjoy them.

Now as to Onyx and Lethal’s stories they are coming Hopefully soon.
Thank you for your patience.

I hope for more to come in the Heart of Detroit Series and I would love for you to return to my website and make sure you leave a comment or review
