I was asked what Dag has that King Heart wants so badly? And what’s so special about the tunnels.
If you don’t know, in Detroit, there are extravagant tunnel systems still in place from the prohibition and even all the way back from slavery days.
In Delilah’s desire, Dag figured them out when he was young to protect his found brothers from the people sent to kill them.
Now that they are grown, he doesn’t need that information, but King Heart does and thought he set up a deal with Dag to get the map.
Dag kept his end of the bargain but knew the danger of giving King all the information, so he kept the legend to himself.

Now you ask why these tunnels are so important?
Well, if you know the backstory behind King Heart, you know he needs to get into Detroit for a lot of reasons without his cousin, Lethal Heart, trying to kill him.
(If you didn’t know this, then you need to read a lot more of my stories)
Either way, King needs to get the legend, and the only way to soften up Dag would be to either force or get him what he needs.
And that’s pretty hard to figure out because the only one who has gotten Dag to do anything was his closest brother, Derek.
