Author’s Notes
I usually do a nice Friday drop but I didn’t.
I also know you should be getting notifications and if you aren’t, please subscribe
This is a big baby. This chapter went way over my normal word count so i decided to break it up and post the other way either later today or tomorrow. Depending on whether I receive some responses from you.
This story really all depends on you. Just thought you should know that. I would also like to thank my Michigan Romance Writers write-in for helping me see some nice paths for this story and making sure I add some explainers now so I don’t have to put it in later.
Getting ahead of the story like that, especially when you’re doing live, is great for both you and me, as the reader.
I’m still in Duncan’s corner. I’d love to know what your thoughts are on what Tori did.

Chapter 7.1 – What His Mouth Do
Would it be wrong to use Shawn when his brother had already warmed her up? Tori wondered this as they pulled in front of her home. Her whole body was running a sexual fever, and she wasn’t sure they’d get to the bedroom if he came inside.
“This date has been life-changing tonight, Tori,” he said as he walked her to the door.
Getting on her tiptoes and easily slipping her arms around his neck, Tori loved how he moved down and kissed her. His lips weren’t so stiff, but they still didn’t give her the same vibe as the garage. But Kevin had been demanding, so she didn’t think it was him behind the garage either.
Duncan? she wondered, but stopped kissing Shawn when she felt guilty thinking about his brothers while embracing him.
She suggested, “We could make this night life-changing as well.”
He tenderly smiled, and his eyes danced at her suggestion. “We should take this slow, Tori,” he urged.
“I’m clean. We can use protection.”
“I should tell you some truths about me,” he said. “I was in an adulterous relationship while I was married… with a man.”
Tori hadn’t expected him to be so truthful. “You’re bisexual?” she gently prodded.
“My wife and I were never intimate. The children she had were in vitro, but her strict Christian family wanted her to be married. A neighbor had raped her and couldn’t do a lot, so the marriage worked out for her. She got to be a wife and a mother. We got married out of convenience, which was why I could think of this plan so easily. I knew those hospital conservative assholes would look down on me not being married, and even though my wife and I broke it off on amicable terms since the kids were on their way to college, my social media blasted our divorce, and what would be believable was getting married again to a childhood friend.”
“Wait! How long were you in this relationship with this man?” she questioned.
“Since medical school,” he admitted. “But he recently broke it off with me.” There was bitterness in his tone. “It’s complicated.”
So Norman’s story and his were coming together, and there was some truth, but she also remembered some things at dinner and those mechanical kisses. “So have you been with a woman at all, Shawn?”
He blushed for a second time that night. “No, Tori. Even back then, when we were kids, I never really paid attention to girls. Life was living.” He shrugged as if this were no big deal. “I’ve never been with a woman physically. I’ve never been attracted to a woman, until now… until you. “
“Shut the front door,” she heaved breathlessly.
“Since that relationship, I’ve been single, but I still regularly test every three months so that we can be together physically, but I want this to be special for me… for us,” he said. “You understand.”
Now Tori understood why Kevin was so protective of Shawn, and it was actually sweet that Shawn had fallen for her. But why did Kevin do what he did to her physically if he loved his little brother so much? Shouldn’t she be off limits?
Keep your pretty fucking mouth closed, his words sneered in her head.
“Yes, I understand,” she said.
Shawn pulled her in for another kiss, which she willingly accepted because she was enjoying his newfound passion, but this time he molded his whole body against hers, and she could definitely feel all of him against her stomach. His hard arousal was definitely honest to her.
Breathlessly, he promised, “I’ll call you tomorrow.”
Tori touched her lips just as he had been doing with kisses as she went inside her place. Taking a moment to lean against the door and catch herself, she couldn’t believe the night she had.
Immediately, she went to take a shower, not needing a bath tonight, and found a soft pink nightgown instead of the thick robe she usually wore. Of course, Tori was still without panties because she just refused to wear them in her home. Just as she stepped out of the bathroom, she saw a Lexus parked in front of her house.
Had Shawn changed his mind? She didn’t bother to put on her robe and rushed down the stairs to open the door.
“Duncan?!” she exclaimed, discombobulated, throwing her arms around herself to cover up her nipples, which she knew he could see right thorugh her nightgown. “What are you doing here?”
He was dressed in a t-shirt and jeans with Timberlands and looked like he’d rolled out of bed as well.
Of course, he didn’t speak, but he was all action as he stepped to her, pulled her in his arms, and kissed her. Soft, gentle, and engulfing… just like that night.
She heard her door slam, but Tori was so caught up with the kiss, she didn’t care. Next thing she knew she was being carried in her bedroom, and Duncan was laying his big body over her in the bed.
The ripping noise was only a distraction, but the desire she was feeling was real. Duncan was touching her everywhere and she couldn’t help him get his clothes off fast enough.
How had this happen? She didn’t care. All she knew was that the need between her legs was pulsing so hard, she felt like a woman starving and only he had the food to sustain her life.
Duncan tore his delicious mouth from her and engulfed both of her dark brown, tipped nipples at the same time. Her legs wrapped and squeezed around his chest as she gyrated her hips. No words were needed or wanted as she threw her weight on his to make him roll over and when she was on top, she scrambled to finish taking off his pants and then did some engulfing of her own.
Feeling the tip of him hitting the back of her throat as she loudly slurped down his shaft titillated her as well as him. He only allowed about ten strokes before yanking her back up to him and kissing her wildly with those sweet beautiful lips of his. The ones she remembered behind the garage and if she had been older, perhaps they wouldn’t have waited so long to release this passion that seemed to have been building for so long. She wanted to suck his damn tongue out of his body followed by his soul.
He rolled her on her back, scrambled to find his pants with a condom, ripped it open, and shoved it on. She reached up and grabbed him by the shaft and then guided him into her.
“FUCK! Tori! Fuuuuucckkk!” he growled viciously.
And she smiled loving that this was the only words spoken between them as she panted loudly on every stroke he delivered, culminating with her while he slobbed and sucked at her neck.
Damn! She should stop him, but oh, damn feeling him pulsing inside of her rendered the rest of her limbs useless.
She was a bad girl and she liked it!
***
Tori woke up in the bed alone. It was three in the morning, and she had passed out. The whole day had been long, but that last burst of sexual exhilaration had taken her consciousness out.
Duncan wasn’t around, and she relaxed, praying that maybe she had fantasized all of that, even as she realized the night gown she wore was in shreds at the end of the bed.
A noise on the first floor alerted her. Getting out of bed, she saw his clothes weren’t around, and found her robe. Her bladder called to her and she used the bathroom, cleaned herself and freshened up with sweet almond oil.
Getting down to the first floor, she smelled something delicious coming from her kitchen, but there wasn’t anything cooking or that looked like it had been cooked. Yet, the top of her stove was slightly warm, but all the surfaces had been recently cleaned. She could still smell the cleaning fluids that had been used.
Something shifted in her office with only her desk light on, and she walked there to see Duncan, shirtless with his pants undone, looking down at her desk. Tori still found his thick, light-skinned body very desirable, and knowing they’d had crazy sex hours ago, she found herself just as titillated looking at him standing there staring at the old school building plans with the electrical grid outlined.
He was eating something crispy that smelled delicious, but she was positive she didn’t have it in her kitchen.
“What are you doing?” she inquired.
While staring at the plans in-depth, as soon as Duncan noticed her, he looked pleased to see her, drawing her into his arms and kissing her. Damn! Just as sweet as it was sixteen years ago, but he tasted like cheese.
“Before I answer that, Tori, I need to know what happened to you?” He folded his arms over his chest and looked at her tightly.
“What do you mean?” she asked, feeling judged for her promiscuity.
“I’m not talking about having sex with me. I’m talking about you. You’re not the Tori we used to know.”
Taking a deep breath, relaxing a bit, she explained, “I was doing my father’s obituary, and a lot of things hit me. Made me reflect, and it was sad to conclude that no one would write my obituary. No one knew me. No one really cared about.” She started to remember those feelings she had felt as she put together everything for her father once he died. “Sure, Mel and her family would mourn until the repast, but after that, I would be forgotten. I had to be really honest with myself and know it was all because of my manipulative ways and selfishness. So I decided to make a personal decision to fix myself. Stop being the person I’d grown up to be and become a person I loved.”
Because you hope someone would want to love you?”
She shrugged. “I know that would probably never happen, and I’m realistic about it. I want to love myself, Duncan, and I to be a person I love.”
“Are you there yet?”
“Almost. This project has become a labor of love, and I really feel deeply about it.”
Duncan smiled as if he were proud of her. “Speaking of your project, this is a really old school, but it wasn’t always a school.” He pulled up his phone and showed her a picture of an old veterinarian’s building. “Originally, it was a building for horses and other animals in 1920. The owner of the Mason Temple constructed it. His wife loved animals, and this was an orphanage for abandoned pets. I suspect the same person who did the electricity for the Masonic Temple also did this place.”
“And who was that?”
He pulled up another screen on his phone, and she gasped.
“Thomas Edison ran the electricity for the Masonic Temple in Detroit.”
“And he often inserted safety drops so if one part of the building went down the whole building didn’t go down. A lot of electricians didn’t do this. It’s costly, but for larger buildings, such as the Masonic Temple, it’s helpful. I suspect when they built the second floor, they didn’t configure the drop, and when you did construction on it, it wasn’t noted, and that’s why this part of the building doesn’t work.” He flipped through her plans where Beck and other electricians had marked off where the electrical wasn’t working.
Duncan took a pencil and circled a corner plumbing closet. “It’s there somewhere?”
“We’ve looked through every place.”
He opened the paper towel, taking small pieces of something crunchy from it, and munched on them. “I’d bet an hour of special attention to your body, that the drop is somewhere over there, and I wouldn’t remove it. If you can afford the electrician, your construction manager recommended I would get him in there. He’s one of the best in the city, and I’d tell him to keep that drop so the second and even a third floor can be protected from surges. Plus, if the building code commission knows it’s there, – of course, after the electrician does his job – they’ll immediately mark your property historical and you could receive grants for that as well.” He picked up the invoice that Beck had sent over, which listed the amount the new electrician would be paid. Her construction manager had delivered by email before she went out with Shawn. To remind herself to find a way to come up with that type of money, she had printed it out. “And you’ll be able to afford the electrician to upkeep that drop and the rest of the electrical system for years to come.” He popped some more of what he was snacking on in his mouth.
Delighted but frustrated, he had food, and she was hungry; she questioned, “What the hell are you eating?”
“Baked chickpeas. You had a can in the back of your pantry.” He held out one to her lips, and she let him place it on her tongue.
They were delicious with a basil and parmesan flavor, and she opened her mouth for more. He chuckled and fed her some more, and she had a feeling he loved feeding her. “Where’d you get the basil from?”
“Your neighbor had wild basil in his flower bed.” He gave her two the next time. “The rest was in your kitchen. Next batch I’ll bring fresh parmesan.”
“What makes you think there is going to be a next time?”
He chuckled again. “After Kevin talks to you, we’ll see.”
She couldn’t expect sudden normalcy from the weirdest brother, even after having sex with him, but she had to wonder if this was normal to him. “Why are you cooking, foraging in my neighbor’s yard and wandering about my house in the middle of the night, Duncan?”
“I only sleep four hours a day. Your kitchen is a mess, and you need something to eat for breakfast. Your stomach was growling in your sleep. Didn’t you eat anything when you went out with Shawn?”
Knowing he knew she had been out with her little brother and still came over to see her and have sex with her and didn’t sound the least bit guilty for it, rocked her sense. “Considering everything I found out in one night, I was too uptight to eat in front of him. I was going to grab something because I popped my birth control before I jumped in the shower, and I really needed to eat or my stomach would make that growling noise while I sleep.”
“So you’re on the pill?”
“Yes.”
Duncan moved the plans to the far side of the desk and then forced her in front of him, pressing her to the side of the desk. He handed the paper towel to her, which still contained a handful of the baked chickpeas.
Greedily she ate them, while he opened her robe.
“What are you doing?” she asked as she finished off the roasted chick peas knowing this was going to be her new favorite snack.
“I want another snack,” he growled when she tried to hold his hands from going any farther than her robe.
… to be continued…
