I don’t know if I did this for 2023 or 2022, but this was a great outlook to see what I have been doing better or worse than other writers using Grammarly.

If you don’t know, Grammarly is a high-end spell-check software for writers of any sort, but it’s a good send for fiction writers no matter what stage of the writer’s game you are at.

I’ve been using Grammarly since 2016. Not religiously, but it’s always been there, and for the premium price, I like that I’m able to feel confident when doing live stories to give my reader a decent translation of what I’m trying to say.

The first part is stats, I guess. I don’t necessarily write inside of Grammarly, but as soon as I finish writing (especially if it’s live), I‘ll post into the app to check so I can publish. When doing live stories, it is beneficial to ensure you can read what I said. It’s terrific for me ’cause sometimes I can’t understand what I was saying either, or my fingers couldn’t move fast enough with what my brain was sending.

So, the next part would be a comparison to other users. I’m pretty prolific but didn’t know I was that good. Like, who else uses this? 5th graders? And for the productivity stat: why are you paying for spell-checking software if you aren’t using it?

Thirdly, we are breaking down my writing. Ugh, that’s the hard part. I’m good with what they had to say. And the 26 million was like awesome sauce.

The next part, I think, was just being picky, but I do do a lot of all that. And probably a lot more. I’m an abuser of the English language and will tell on myself in that regard.

I just like to complain, but I believe, aside from all the commas it just enjoys injecting into my documents, I’ve improved a lot over the years. A whole lot.
