WHERE ARE YOU “STUCK” RIGHT NOW IN YOUR AUTHOR CAREER QUESTION AND ANSWER SERIES
We’re starting this series as a way to get into the grind of authoring.
A lot of people have been asking me how do I do the things I do and I find that I can easily answer questions in a simply disturbing way. Disturbing more for me than anyone else because I actually know the answer to their question.
Dilemma:
Finding the time to write and finish novels. Between work and other writing obligations, that creative muscle is a couch potato.
Initial answer:
I’ve used music to help with that. usually, I try to find a song that is close to the story line I’m writing or makes me try to find the one scene I need my characters to get to and I play it all the time when I can’t write. so by the time I get off my benefit job, stop being a mommy and wife, I can sit down and really get into the writing because I’ve been thinking about it all day. This really helped get writing fuel.
Also, as my life got a little busier, even though I was a panser, I had to turn into a semi plotter. writing short paragraphs for beginning middle and ending kept me on track in where I wanted to go in the novel and helped me get to the end. this also helped if I stopped for a long time because life got in the way and then came back to the story.
This is your business. So go do it! Success will come.
