Diamond In The Rough – Part 2

Diamond In The Rough

PART 2(Genre:Romantic Suspense)
A story of chances, stealing, and love inside a city & man where all hope is gone. Can one woman change his destiny? Or will loneliness take over and leave him hopeless?

On the 3rd day in a row when he didn’t see her, he began worry yet it seemed futile. He found himself unable to go about his regular day as normal curious to her whereabouts. As he was getting off work the next morning he was oblivious to anyone as he clocked out and hurried to his car. He was way ahead of schedule by the time he reached the gas station which wasn’t that far her bus stop. He looked down the street before going in to pay for gas, but did not see her. So occupied in getting back outside, he disregarded getting the cheap coffee.

Coming back to his car, he pumped his gas, but kept his eyes glued on the bus stop. Just as he was replacing the lid on his tank, she walked across the street and stood there.

Rob’s heart raced in excitement just seeing that today was a Friday and she wore the delicious blue jean skirt. Jumping in his car, he almost burned rubber driving out of the station. He forced himself to slow his roll as he neared his street to turn down.

A car had stopped in front her, blocking Rob’s view.

She was shaking her head with a plaintive expression on her face and desperately looking down the street as if just her eyes could make the bus come faster.

  1. Off to a good start, but, frankly I feel like I should boycott this story until you give us some answers on when or if you will be finishing the Other Side of Love! 🙂

  2. Hey, is this supposed to be short posts or am I missing something? Please let me know if this posting is correct. I feel like I missed something in between Parts 1 and 2. Thanks!!! 🙁

  3. Ok, I feel like i’m missing something also but if this is how the post are coming ok!!

  4. I agree with both Robyn and Dawn-Ya. I’m still waiting for more of The Other Side of Love and it seems like we missed a whole chapter between 1 and 2 of this story.

  5. I am a very frustrated reader. I love your work Sylvia but all of these unfinished stories are beginning to burn me out. I for one am tired of getting into a story and then it just dissapears. I know I’m more than willing to pay to for your work. Put me out of misery complete a story before moving to the next one. Can anyone out there relate with me?

  6. I’m keeping up. I agree with the others. Is this suppose to be short post each time. I will let you do your thing and follow along.

  7. I am in a general concensus with the others Sylvia. While I love your work, I am still hangin in there with you with “The Other Side Of Love” and thinkin I am missing something with this story here. Are parts 1 & 2 meant to be this short or not.
So far I am enjoying this one, I hope I am not missing out on anything! God Bless
