Was it fun?
Yes!
Was it amazing?!
Also yes!
I wasn’t expecting the enjoyment I got out of the event, but I’m so glad I accepted.
I’m always nervous and pre-disappointed when I go to an event, so I can handle looking crazy standing next to a table of books, but that’s when I tell myself, at least I got out of the house.
This time, when I got out of the house, I wasn’t ready for a positive experience.
But it was. The barrister and part owner even went around to some reading friends working in the mall so they could come over and check me out and then when patrons came in, he’d make sure they were aware there was an author in the store.
I liked the system where people came over to check my books out and then would take them over to the counter and buy them. They would then come back to me and I’d sign the book.
I sold enough to make it worth my while to get out of bed and even had to order more books once I got home.
At the time of this writing, I am going to be at the Troy Library next for Diversity in Romance.
