I’m honest in my daily writing word count, and I took two days off and didn’t feel guilty about it, but I love that I was able to come back headstrong and finish off the scene I was working on. I needed to get the character to Chicago and then another powerful love scene where it would make a difference to the male protagonist.

I don’t think many stories delve deep enough into what the male is feeling. It’s not always instant love, and with El being a demisexual alpha, he needs so much more to bring him into loving her.
