Barnes & Noble has made the decision to remove a wide variety of erotica titles from distribution. While we are disappointed by these policy changes, we respect the right of our retail partners to stock only the content they want to carry.

Barnes & Noble’s change requests are not limited to Draft2Digital and Smashwords authors. Their policy changes will impact a wide swath of authors and publishing entities including Barnes & Noble Press.

Are all erotica titles impacted?

At this time, Draft2Digital and Smashwords will stop supplying erotica that contains previously acceptable taboo themes of Age Play and DubCon as defined by the Erotica Certification System.

We are continuing to negotiate on behalf of mainstream erotica but we do not know if Barnes & Noble will ultimately remove such titles as well.

I will always do my best to ensure that those titles are on this site. Let me know if you are looking at a book and need it as an e-book, and I’ll work to get it on this site.
