Author’s Note: This is a long one. I was going to cut it up in pieces but I decided to leave this whole POV in since El is a whole thought when he comes through. Also, they speak a little bit about street chemistry, which comes from Dreams of Reality. I never introduced who actually made the drug, but now you know – after all these years.

For this post, I had to get into El said. It was so much to be said, but I had to not push it out all at once. From the alpha reader, she asked how dangerous is he? And for that, I have to say; you have no idea.

Enjoy, Sylvia Hubbard

The disgust coursing through El’s veins for this rotten son of a bitch had him seething. If it hadn’t been for Tyler Black’s look of constant warning, El would have picked the guy up and tossed him over the balcony.
Before coming to the fourth floor, as El had exited the bathroom, Tyler had been sitting in his office drumming his fingers as if he had been waiting hours.
El had spent a significant amount of time in there, lasciviously smelling the washcloth she had used, retrieving the pads out of the trash, and sniffing the fluid that had come from her breasts. It took two seconds to look up nipple discharge, and he found himself excited to know when she was emotional, her body excreted extra fluid through her nipples. He wondered if he could make this happen again and if his mouth could be there to receive it.
Damn, his manhood returned to its former state despite his recent release. It took all his control to wrap the underwear she had given him and save it for later. He put this in his jacket’s breast pocket, carefully handling the fabric like a treasured gift.
“Time is money, El,” Tyler said, bored with his feet on the edge of Tyler’s desk. The lawyer was very aware of El’s “condition,” but Tyler Black cared about nothing but money.Β
“You’re on my dime, and you know my money is good, Tyler. Did you get the changes I emailed you and bring the extra forms?”
“Yes, and I wanted to know, is this a business contract or a sex contract with her?”
“A little bit of both. After New York, I felt I should cover my ass, as you say.”
“Unfortunately, you didn’t have me to work that deal at the time because I’d have ensured you didn’t give her a dime.” Tyler took his feet down as El came closer. “This one’s different, isn’t she? You can get closer to her than any of the others.”
El didn’t want to discuss his feelings for her because he didn’t understand anything himself. “She’s different,” was all he responded.
Tyler pressed more. “Who is she because of the little you gave me? There’s no rhyme or reason to her, except when her Daddy says jump; she just does it, according to a college acquaintance. Now, her mother was one of the best forensic auditors this side of Mississippi, but she lost her status due to frequent blackouts from a medical condition, and she was married to a street chemist.”
“Street chemist? What is that?”
“Arum Folsom.”
“Wait, her father’s name is Folsom, and Dwayne’s name is Folsom?” El asked for clarification.
Tyler smirked. “Oh, you didn’t know. Dwayne changed his name when he married her sister, not the other way around. I know fucking weird as shit.”
“So her father is a street drug dealer?”
“No, a street chemist is different. They make drugs. He did three years at Wayne State and was expelled for using their labs to cook up his crap. He was part of some illegal mind experiment going on years ago, but charges were dropped when he testified against the whole operation, including two doctors who were using poor women as experiments.”
“He sounds worse than her husband.”
Tyler continued, “He’s also a serious control freak. Worse than you. Most likely, Arum made Dwayne change his name, and Dwayne either gotta do whatever he has to do to clear up this shit with Arum’s daughter or get as far away as possible from this whole situation.” The lawyer leaned in with a severe frown. “Before we go into this meeting, El, I’m going to warn you this dick is going to piss you off. From my background search, Dwayne’s selfish slimeΒ  – bottom of the bucket shit, and he’s going to wreak havoc on your control.”
“What about her?”
“Strange. What you say about her and what I know about her are two different things, but that can be discussed later,” the lawyer said. “Keep your composure, El, in this meeting. And I implore you to agree to the out clause.”
Tyler’s advice had always been right. His contracts were the best in the business. All night long, they’d haggled over the contracts. For Dwayne, it was easy, but for Iris, it was difficult. Tyler was right. They were walking a fine line between analyst researcher and mistress.Β
“I’m agreeable. I’ll do my best to control myself.”
“Even if he puts his hands on her. The more evidence we can get from their interaction, the better. He doesn’t know this is all being recorded, and in any court of law, we can show his intimidation and physical abuse to her.”Β
El nodded. “Fine. I’ll keep my hands to myself, but I might be inclined to make some practice shots to his head later on.”
“I didn’t hear that,” Tyler said.Β
Standing now on the balcony listening to this buffoon, El really did want to throw him over to the street and let several cars run over his worthless body.Β
And Iris. She just sat there, docile and lifeless. There was this dead, sad look in her eyes that made El want to rip Dwayne’s face off.Β
This man made her miserable.Β
El had to wonder who had made her like that. Who had forced her to hide her true self away, the part that had stirred him, attracted him to her, and brought out a lust unstoppable. This Iris was some submissive creature, stuck, emotionally shackled, and broken.
Arum Folsom! Her control freak father. He’s probably instilled in her obedience, and it was almost second nature for her to control her emotions and never show what she was feeling due to physical punishment from a young age.
Yet, he saw she liked being told what to do. A glint in her eyes was there when he’d ordered her to straddle him.
Sending Iris away was for her sake and his own because El wanted to break Dwayne for what had been done to Iris.
El had to hold onto the bean of the balcony to hold himself back from physically beating the crap out of her husband.
When the staff had cleared everything away and left, El sat where Iris had been sitting.Β
He braced himself to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person, Dwayne Folsom.
“Good,” Dwayne said, downing the last of his Bellini. “The men can talk now.”
“The men will be talking, Mr. Folsom,” El sneered. “You’ll be shutting the fuck up and only speaking when an answer is necessary.”
It appeared as though someone had slapped Dwayne in the mouth.Β
El spoke decisively, “As my lawyer said, we did our research on you and the pictures from your excursion on John R last night alone is enough to let me know you’re a low down shit.”
Tyler tossed several black and white pictures in the middle of the table showing Dwayne in promiscuous positions in the alley of an abandoned building with a man and a woman. “And that’s just the beginning of your night of celebration.”
El continued, “If you know me and you know what I can do, you’ll sign whatever fucking papers we put in front of you, happy and be glad we don’t turn you in.”
“You turn me in, you’ll be turning her in too,” Dwayne warned.
Tyler responded, “I’m a lawyer, idiot, and I serve the benefits of my clients. We’ll explain how you coerced and threatened her. The judge will rule that you will be charged with the financial crimes.”
“And she’ll freely work for me doing what she loves, glad to get any type of pay I desire for her to have,” El said triumphantly. “While you’ll be in prison so deep, you won’t know a yawn from a fart.”
Despite being a dark-skinned black man, Dwayne’s face showed paleness. “I’ll tell everyone she’s a baby killer. They’ll go back and put her under the prison.”
“I’ve already started clearing that matter up,” Tyler said. “Say whatever you want. If what she did comes to light, I will have already handled it and it will not impede upon her job for Mr. Olorun.
“What we’re trying to let you know, Dwayne is you will not get one tiny red cent from me, and you would do best to get the hell out of Iris’ life and give her custody of the son you could give a rat ass about,” El said. “Walk away and never bother her again.”
Tyler pushed the papers and a pen towards Dwayne. “There is a better amendment to the agreement, Mr. Folsom. Grant her immediate custody and divorce today. Mr. Olorun is going to arrange to give King Heart the eleven thousand dollars to pay off your IOU. We’ll drop all criminal charges, and for your lifetime, you will never come near Iris or Clem ever again. Mr. Olorun will arrange to put the car in your name after he’s paid it off, but you’ll move out of that house immediately since it’s still in her name. All other assets will be sold off and used to pay off your debt.'”
El leaned over and said, “And if I even know you thought about them, I’ll make sure an untraceable bullet finds its way in the middle of your brain, so you don’t die, you just lay in a coma for the rest of your miserable life feeling and hearing everything. I’ll shoot you myself and then be across town before your body hits the ground. And you know I could from what you researched about me.”
Dwayne looked terrified. “H-How you know I didn’t record this?”
“Because when you came through security and they did a pat down, they took your phone, which you didn’t notice.”
The idiot felt in his jacket pocket, desperate to reveal El’s words were true.
“They’ll return it on your way out.” El stood up and returned to the edge of the balcony to get away from Dwayne. Not just the smell of this man annoyed him, but the proximity of the low life.
“I’ll take the new deal,” Dwayne muttered on the precipice of breaking down. His hands trembled as he picked up the pen and signed all the documents Tyler had put in front of him.
“Put her identification and social security card on the table. Move everything of yours out of the house by tonight,” El ordered. “Along with anything else that binds you to her.”
Dwayne looked shocked. “How’d you know I had her personal information?”
“Why wouldn’t you? Iris needs full control, and I figured you made sure she couldn’t get her hands on anything, such as her important papers or identification. She was valuable to you, and the more you could control her, the better it was for you. You brought it to this meeting to sell to me.”
Defeated, Dwayne took out Iris’ driver’s license, social security card and tattered marriage certificate.
“Good day, Mr. Folsom,” El said disgustedly. “Get the hell out of town before the end of this week before I change my mind about paying King Heart off for you.”
Dwayne trudged off the balcony, looking very defeatedΒ
“I’m proud of you,” Tyler said. “Threatening him wasn’t necessary.”
“I still want to shoot him.”
“I didn’t hear that,” Tyler said, gathering up Dwayne’s signed documents. “So, are you going to tell her the good news, or will I?”
“I’ll do that. I kind of like the fact she thinks she’s still married.”
“She’s going to hate you when she discovers the truth.”
“She can stand in line with everyone else. I’m used to it.”
Tyler shook his head. “Before getting married, I thought the same thing. Women have a way to change you if you let them in. I think she’s different, El. I can tell. She’s got you doing things for her you’ve never done for anyone else. And I haven’t seen you ever want to be so close to a woman initially and willingly.”
“Everything I’ve done is only for my benefit.”
Tyler rolled his eyes. β€œIs this the chick you met in the rain? Were you going to have me put an all-out search on after your employee meeting?”

β€œYes,” El admitted, remembering how insane he’d felt that night to see her again and feeling unstoppable now that he had her.

The lawyer smiled wickedly. “Send over her papers by the morning I left on your desk,” he ordered, gathered his case, and left.
El stopped at Lester’s new desk to let him know the meeting was done. “Has someone delivered her computer?”
“Yes. It’s all set up. I had to train her to use the operating system, and I’ve instructed her to access your schedule.”
Immediately, El knew this was a lie because Iris had been handling her husband’s computer just fine for the past five years, but he didn’t bother to correct this little shit of a lying assistant.
Lester handed El an envelope. “The computer guy wasn’t sure if you wanted this for her or not. He said it seemed strange.”
El knew what was in the envelope and stuck it in his jacket. “Thank you.”
Lester looked at where he had put the envelope, clearly disappointed El had not revealed what was inside for him. “Is there anything else you need me to do?”
“No,” El said, walking away and not giving the beady eyed man another thought, almost too glad he didn’t have to deal with the nosey person anymore.
Walking up to his office area where Iris was seated, he didn’t like that she wouldn’t be in his office anymore. Staring at her derriere all morning had been a benefit of having her in the office.Β Β
Even ten feet away from her, his senses could pick up the tea tree oil and just a hint of honey. He remembered burying his nose right behind her ear, where he could tell the soap had been left, and her hair tickled his face. The thought she was thorough in her cleanliness aroused the shit out of him. The texture of her hair didn’t bother him. Matter of fact, El was shocked at how soft her coarse hair felt for what it looked like. This had been his first time touching a black woman’s hair, and he desired to touch her hair again, but not on her head. He was curious what the hair between her legs felt like. Would it be as soft?
Just to make conversation, he asked, “Do you need Lester to help you with any software?” El questioned, standing his distance from her, very aware they were being watched.
“No,” Iris said, looking him over as if he had been in a fight. “As I’ve said, I had to learn all the software the company uses to help Dwayne.”
Curious, he wondered, “Did anyone around here know what you were doing for your husband? I’m shocked how people are googling you now as if you are a new person.”
She pursed her lips together. “If they did, they didn’t say anything, but I would suspect no one knew. Most times, I would say I was bringing dinner because he was working late and once everyone else left the office, he would leave and wouldn’t return until later to pick me up. I have a way to seem inconsequential to people.”
El watched as she spoke and loved that she kept professional despite what she knew he could do to her body. “You could be lying, Iris, because you’re not trying to get anyone in trouble. The less I have to fire, the better.”
“I am being honest,” she implored. “I came at night when mostly everyone was gone. Perhaps the guard might’ve suspected something. Anyone who was here when I came, I sometimes could hear talk about Dwayne.”
“What did you hear?”
“They all felt he was an idiot, but he got his work done.”
“And this didn’t bother you? That you made him look almost good.”
“I was doing work I liked,” she pointed out. “It was the only thing that really brought me joy and helped me stay on top of the skills my mother taught me. I couldn’t complain. If Dwayne was happy at work, he was content at home. He would ignore Clem, and that was good.”
The idea of her being terrorized at home ground El’s gears and he was still inclined to shoot Dwayne Folsom for what he did to Iris.Β
“Next week, I have a meeting in Chicago. I need to sell off some businesses for Bellini Enterprises. Would this be inconvenient for you?”Β
“No. Clem would stay at my Aunt Rose. His school is across the street from her home.”
El couldn’t remember a big ass school across the street. All he remembered about that night was her and only her, yet the area was dark. His body still reacted powerfully, just remembering the first time they met. “Will that be safe?”
“Safe enough. He’s going to summer school right now, which makes it great for me to be able to work during the day. According to your schedule, we leave Friday morning. When I drop him off for school on Thursday, he’ll be packed to stay with her for the weekend.”
Impressed she already had her mothering life worked out, El didn’t challenge her about the matter of her nephew anymore. He had been just a little worried when Dwayne called her a baby killer, but he remembered the way her voice grew soft and tender whenever she spoke of her nephew and was almost jealous of how passionate she felt toward Clem.Β
“Come into my office in an hour,” he ordered.
“Yes, Mr. Olorun.” She said, giving him complete eye contact.Β
How did she look indifferent? He marveled at her control as he walked into his office.
Iris’s need for research also attracted him. As she covered her emotions, was she also wondering how he had made her orgasm? Was she looking it up on her computer? After he brought her to fruition, he could see she had never done something like that before and was fascinated by the entire process. Would she ask him again? He’d love to hear her soft voice ask him; No, beg him!Β
Damn, El found himself genuinely engrossed in this woman, and he’d yet to have physical sex with her. He’d never wanted to be physically intimate so quickly before. What made her so different? Her mind? Her luscious, curvy, brown body?
Probably her mind. Those damn reports had gotten him over to this company. Her reports were like love to his eyes. What some people would think was boring was a beautiful symphony to him, and Iris was his Chopin.
That would never wear off unless he destroyed her; made her hate her job.
Damn! Getting physically involved with her could damage her once he became tired of her and only wanted her as his employee. She’d hate him and then hate her job. He’d ruin everything he found extremely extraordinary about her.Β
So, how could he keep her as his assistant but get a taste of her without ruining her abilities?
El went to his desk and wondered if she had watched him the whole time like she had been watching him on the balcony.Β
Feeling her eyes on him almost made him lose control and go over there to devour her beautiful lips.
He’d never wanted to kiss a woman so much in his whole life. The feel of her lips on his ignited dopamine instantly in his brain. And how did she manage to smell so damn good?
He usually didn’t get that kind of high, except when he was closing a deal or after he shot a perfect target.Β
El would keep her divorce secret from her just a little longer. How long would she ignore the fact that she thought she was married? Her resistance would help him stave off his need to want to be physically intimate with her, plus he would enjoy watching her moral fight as El seduced her.
Now he wanted to know more about her past, and why did he want to know more about her nipple discharge?
