Character Breakdown of Diedrick “Derek” Roth

Born into poverty and orphaned, Derek was always the good-natured brother/cousin in his family because he was too young to remember the times as hard. Still, he found his memories loved because the family was always around. Meeting his brother from another mother, Maddox Dandridge, they connected immediately, and Derek knew he’d found a lifetime friendship, but when he met Adira, he found a lifetime love.

They lived perfectly together until Maddox manipulated Adira away and she died in a house fire. Derek found himself not being able to forgive Maddox because Adira would have still been alive if she hadn’t listened to Maddox.

And the once always warmhearted man, now can’t stop hating that Maddox has moved on with his life while Derek drowns himself between every good pair of legs without the satisfaction of love.

How had Maddox moved on? And how could Derek either destroy Maddox for the pain he caused Derek or find a way to take away what was making Maddox happy little by little?

Derek vowed to never forgive Maddox for taking away his only love, Adira.
