It was brought to my attention book four of Dark Facade was not available on Nook.

The reader said:

I luuuuuvvvvv The Dark Facade Series. I picked it up and couldn’t put it down. I was hiding in the bathroom at my job with my nook reading as fast as I could so I wouldn’t get in trouble and then I realized Book four is missing. While I see it on Amazon (booo) and Smashwords, I can find it anywhere else and I’d love to add it to my collection.

She wrote me this last month.

I got another email just last week from another reader pretty much asking the same thing. (She didn’t mention she took her reading device to the bathroom, although I hope that reader sends me a selfie because I really would like to see that one.)

I don’t know why I didn’t upload to Smashwords the re-edited copy of Dark Facade Book Four and actually until I received that first email, I hadn’t realized I didn’t do it.

Although it could have been during the time I was getting the emails about the “bad scene” in book two.

Yeah, if you read the book you know what I mean, but no spoilers. And I was getting a lot of flack over it.

If you are new to the livestory concept, then I guess I will explain what Author Notes are.

author’s notes in a livestory of The Literary World of Sylvia Hubbard are usually dreded updates from the author where I tell you bad news.

Such as it is with this one.

BETRAYED UPDATES

betrayedGet Your copy of Betrayed at Amazon – Smashwords or use links to leave reviews and share!

The planned release of the book for Friday has been moved to Sunday.

It was fricking cold!

Not just outside, but in my house.

It all started at the beginning of the week when two pipes burst and then the temps dropped to -40 in Detroit.

I was huddled next to the electric heater trying to type up the story occassionally stopping to warm up the tips of my fingers which had started to freeze.

I pressed through a first draft and now I’m going over it.

Slowly.

DTE can’t come fix the blower on the furnance until Monday.

Until then it’s huddle against the electric heater as I slowly work through giving Jackson a purpose.

Also, through the middle of the first part, I changed the male characters name from Austin to Jackson.

So if you guys see any Austins in the story, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

And sometimes my brain thought Melissa and Megan were the same thing. So if you see a mix up, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I appreciate your support.

The book is actually selling better than my other books this month.

Which is crazy, but hey, I ain’t complaining.

HIS SUBSTITUTE WIFE UPDATES

hissubCoverGet Your copy of His Substitute Wife at Amazon Smashwords or use links to leave reviews and share.

If you didn’t know, The second book is due to be release on Jan 15th.

If you were a pre-reader (and there were over a hundred pre-readers) you should have put you review somewhere online.

I’m sad to say, over 92% of the pre-readers didn’t do what they were suppose to do. Well, according to Amazon with on SEVEN reviews.

That sucks because the point of being a pre-reader was to help generate press about the book.

I’m going to send a note to all to all the pre-readers to remind them about doing a review.

If you’ve done one. THANK YOU!

If it’s at another place like Goodreads or B&N or even Apple, please leave a link in the comments below so I may link to it or even go read it.

I want to thank you guys for all your pushing and throwing to other readers.

I’ve picked up fans in 2013, which I can never say thank you enough.

But I can get you to fight over something…

A paperback copy of His Substitute Wife… My Sister.

In Two days, I’ll be holding a real live copy in my hand and after I review it and authograph it personally, I’m going to give it away to the a reader.

A reader who has done a review.

So hit me up on the socials with a link, leave a comment with a link to show me you’ve done your review and put it out there for the world to see.

I’ll be picking names next Friday, (After the 15th) so get out there, read the book and do the review!

Now to say this isn’t a gift, I should share, I haven’t sent out an authograph copy of anything in YEARS!

I can’t wait to see the fighting.

Get Your copy of His Substitute Wife at Amazon Smashwords or use links to leave reviews and share.

Onward I go back to typing! Staying warm, drinking the ginger, honey, garlic tea. Got my blankets (although I feel I need more) and getting the gloves out to keep the tips of my fingers warm.

TTYL!

Author’s Note: I just realized I’ve released 5Books in 4 Months #SylLit #SneakReaders

blogbanner-swmall.jpg

Wow!

Girl_writes_3I’m saying that to myself because that’s a lot of work.

I was going through the books on Smashwords to see what I released in 2012.

In 2012, I released 5 books

We should also include the The Heart of Detroit Compilation as well.

But as a surmised 2013 and it only being February, I realized Since November, I’ve released FIVE BOOKS

If I go by my usual quota for the year (five books) for 2013, I only have three more books to really produce, but I have a feeling, this will be a monumental year.

If I’m looking at my brain right, I think I should finish five more books this year.

I just gotta sit my butt down and do them.

sigh…

I love when my #sneakreaders boast about how many of my books they’ve gotten.

I’m trying to make the transition from lulu.com to Smashwords for all my electronic work, except my exclusives on Kindle which are

Currently, I have over 24 books available on my Smashwords site. Have you collected them all?

I’m going to make another book exclusive on Amazon. I was thinking the Little Bit of Sin Series (which I’m breaking up into three books) or Eve’s Deception.

what do u think of cover? thx @23_exchange

Still trying to decide.

As I write this post, I’m leaning towards Eve’s Deception. The series seem to be enjoyed by too many readers with too many different devices.

Oh BTW, I want to thank the B&N readers who’ve left comments on Dark Facade (and of course all the other books).

I know I don’t give you guys enough shout outs but I do thank you.

I can’t see my reviews in the iTunes stores, but if anyone can shoot them too me, please do.

Also, if you do post a review ANYWHERE please tag me my page on FB or Twitter (@sylviahubbard1). I’d appreciate that.

Okay, off the finish book Three of Dark Facade. It’s getting juicy and SPOILER ALERT: This might go into a fourth quarter.

If you’re looking for ConSensual, I’ve taken it down for paperback publishing. I’ll keep you information about that endeavor. I submitted it to an anthology and I will be adding a new part to it very soon. (That’s my 2014 endeavor because y’all ain’t getting no eighth book out of me this year… I don’t think.)

Your comments and reviews inspire me to write more and your book purchases and telling others about me give me the time to write more.

My last two blog posts have gotten like the most comments I think I’ve ever seen. And I love the way the readers engage with each other.

A recent comment about my writing really made me cheese hard:

I am well aware of the emotional roller coaster Sylvia sends you on. I have been hooked on her writing ever since stumbling upon her first book in 2010. She has now single handedly become my favorite author. Why, you say??? Because she has no boundaries. She doesn’t mind exploring the darker side of sensuality and even love. Her books aren’t all rose petals and heart candy. She will give you that but often times through a knife or gun in there too, LOL. Ok, I’m going back to work Mrskt20

I’m still trying to figure out if it’s a compliment or not but I love what she had to say!

#Talking #Tuesday Edition: As we #Twitter along… @sylviahubbard1 #sylLit #amwriting. Readers talking abt me… #SneakReaders

Lately, I’ve seen more “readers” connect with me on Twitter than “techies.”

This pleases me to know with help from my current readers I’m garnering the attention of other readers.

My readers are “talking” about me.

Yah!!

I’d love to go way back but a few current ones I will point out that I favorited or retweeted:

https://twitter.com/tiffanyfulton/status/275052949598785536

https://twitter.com/Joie_De_Vivre5/status/276143261700198400

Please take a moment and if you have a twitter, follow these Literary folks and thank them for me for their support.

It’s always nice to author’s to see others “talking” about them since when we that started out as writers REALLY HATE TALKING ABOUT OURSELVES AND OUR WORK.

And really that’s the author’s hardest job of talking about ourselves.

When we were young and you heard people “talking” about you, it always felt like a bad thing.

Now with the 21st Marketing techniques of “engagement” and SEO (search engine optimization) being talked about is a good thing.

My first experience with “readers” talking about me occurred with stealing innocence.

When I put this book up initially, I really didn’t think it would garner any downloads at all.

I had it for free on a site I built and then put a comment box underneath.

I had become disenchanted with the book because all my rejections letters pretty much said, the story had too many characters in it and it would confuse the reader.

I didn’t want to cut down on characters so I just felt “well, if no ones else wants it, I’ll just offer it for free.”

I forgot about it and came back three months later to over 100 comments about the book.

Readers were loving it and I was shocked and amazed the book had been downloaded over 900 times.

If anyone has the earlier edition you can still see the ugly masquerade blue cover on that version.

This was my first eBook experience and it was my first experience where someone was talking about me and I was shocked! Really shocked they wanted more and loved Jaelen.

Even I can’t understand how he got Kimberly to love him cause he’s still one of the meanest characters I’ve ever written aside from the Hearts and William Stone.

LOL

I’m pretty proud of myself on that experience and I learned from that to help my readers more and more “talk” about me.

I even love to say Tuesday is TalKing Day. That’s the day I’d love for my fans to “talk” about me on their social network.

On Facebook, You could tag my MichigansLiteraryWorld in your status message if you want me to like or re-share. Or even make a comment about it on my page and then re-share that status message.

Also, you could tag me on Twitter using my handle: @sylviahubbard1. (See above twitter statuses for details.)

In the New Year, I’m going to have #SneakReaders chats on Twitter. These are chats with specially invited readers that will take place there as we discuss more to the sagas that are building around the four different families you as readers constantly as me about:

  • The Hearts
  • The Bellinis
  • The Blacks
  • The Lotts

There are upcoming stories to coincide with current stories, but we won’t go into that right now. It’s going to be fun!

Trust me.

Signing off. And if you haven’t enjoyed stealing innocence, please take a moment to download it. If you have, leave a review wherever you have purchased it and also, take a moment and check out stealing innocence II: The Ravishment.

Yeah, you want me to give you an update on stealing innocence III: Lethal Heart, but at this time, I STILL can’t.

But I will tell you, King Heart’s story comes out first.

Author’s Note: #WickedChances… still #amwriting like fire on my butt! WC: 80K And yes, the SHTF is abt 2happen

Wicked Chances-smallerThere is no greater moment in an author‘s life of frustration during a story when the SHTF moment happens.

This is the point in the story when we are at the ARC of the story where all the problems in the story start to explode off the page!

Why should a writer be nervous? Because now it’s the time of the promise to the readers that we’re going to give you what you originally wanted… Everything! (Or at least what the synopsis said, plus a page turning hot darn can’t sit still drama, action, suspense that you’ve been waiting for all this time.)

And after eighty thousand words (which officially you’ve been reading a full length thick azz novel for FREE) I must deliver what you’ve been waiting for.

Well, we’re at this point in Wicked Chances. If you’ve read at least three books by me, what you think is going to happen… won’t. What you’re used to happening… won’t.

That’s really all I can say about the story at this time until I’m done.

If you’re a regular reader of The Literary World of Sylvia Hubbard live story, then you know what might occur: Continue reading “Author’s Note: #WickedChances… still #amwriting like fire on my butt! WC: 80K And yes, the SHTF is abt 2happen”

Author’s Note: I’ve been busy writing, but also with the Holidays, I’ve been busy with family as well. Thanks for your patience. My chest is feeling funny. Having trouble breathing, but I don’t think it’s the pneumonia again. Just something else. I’m not hypochondria, I don’t think (but I guess if you have to think about it, you could be.

Working around a migraine, but I’m working it out…

I saved this book post to keep the unique comments from myself and my #SneakReaders.
