I donāt let a lot of things bother me
Perhaps that one time I was sensitive
I mean Aunt Dottie was hauling butt moving in and then I had a follicular flair up
I saw I had another review finally on Her Substitute Husband⦠His Boss and happily marched over there to read it.
They even had to nerve to put an emoji on it to stamp their disapproval.
I wanted to explain, these are people who married young (at sixteen) and had a baby at fourteen. Theyāve worked all their lives. Realistically when did you expect them to grow up? Learn to be adults when no one was there for them?
Theyāve relied on themselves, learned by themselves and you expect them to be able to communicate well, function well and handle adult situations well?
No, I donāt ever remember that happening ā as I think Iām an expert on human intricacises.
I donāt have a degree or anything but watching humans over the years, Iāve seen the worst of the worst and I think Shae and Dylan are just trying to make something out of nothing and keep themselves and their relationship together.
But at lasts, I couldnāt say this to the reviewer but this was ājustā a kindle customer and I probably wouldnāt say it if I knew who it was.
To be transparent, it hurt my feelings. It made me feel perhaps this was a stupid story ā as we enter over 200K words on episode 71 of the work in progress.
And I had to sit back and recovery emotionally.
Shae kept nudging me in my head that there was still a story to be told and I had to fight the negative building up to get back on the horse. I mean I was 200k words in. I couldnātā stop now and all the crap was about to hit the fan.
Plus there were the readers who were there with me in the story and I didnāt want to let them down.
I needed to do this and I did. I started writing again and bam the story found me again.
the joy returned even if there is a little scarring.
A couple of days later, I got this review:
Iām glad I didnāt give up.
