Becoming an Author was a need but becoming a Mompreneur was a passion she was built for.

As a Happily Divorced Single Mom for over twenty years, Sylvia Hubbard was always a writer, but out of necessity to help her struggling household she started a business and an organization in 2000. She founded HubBooks Literary Service to publish her romance suspense novels and created the literary association Motown Writers Network to help writers get to their literary goals, while connecting readers to Michigan Authors.

Even after suffering a house fire in 2013, where she and her children lost everything, Sylvia never stopped working in her community and she never stopped writing. Currently, she has over 50 published stories. Out of those, seven were Amazon Best Sellers.

Recognized for her work in Detroit with THREE Spirit of Detroit Awards, Bestowed by the Michigan Senate an Emerging Business Award and donned Michigan’s Literary Diva by the Detroit City Council, Sylvia Hubbard has worked tirelessly to uplift the literacy community in Michigan.

Additionally, she is a social media manager, runs four websites and blogs, vlogs and coordinate literary events offline. In her free time, she collects books to fill up the Little Libraries around Metro Detroit.

Mrs. Hubbard has become a literary doula to thousands of authors, spoken all over the United States and Canada on the literary business and also speaks to encourage parents, especially single parents, they can create the profit with their passion by following her Mompreneur principles of Plan, Pray and Parent.
