  • why; Competitors. What inspires people to buy from you. Do you have a product people want? Are you credible? Offer value? expertise?
  • How? Tailor a strategy that is going to
    • a. get new eyes on your book
    • b. return visitors to buy
    • c. generate drip income
  • 2. Tools to be authentic
    • Time
    • Website with a domain & newsletter
    • Social media – Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube… LinkedIn
    • Social media manager
    • PayPal
    • Cloud share account
    • Content Delivery System
    • Offline promotional materials (cards, QR codes)
  • 3. Content + Consistency = success
    • Content is King but Consistency is Queen and she wears the pants.
    • You gotta show up to go up – pam perry
    • Engage! Engage! Engage!
  • There are 52 weeks in a year.
    • You can write 52 articles/ quotes from your book/ tag lines with explanations
    • You can make 52 videos (no more than one minute long)
    • You can take 52 pictures (high quality, no bathroom photos)
    • You can Make 52 audio files or interviews with other authors (no more than 3 minutes long)
    • You can reuse evergreen material 52 times or repost other authors resources
    • You can find 52 quotes
    • You can give 52 ways tips you’ve succeeded & failed at writing, publishing and marketing
  • Easy Out of the box marketing
    • Get features on blogs
    • Get interviews on podcasts
    • Create discussions in reading & writing groups
    • Do .99 cent giveaways
    • Help someone else promote
  • 4. Don’t babysit, bandwagon or boast
    • a. just put something somewhere just to have a presence.
    • b. jump on a new thing just because others are doing it.
    • c. sell your book, boast about buying your book
  • Un-market
    • Talk about the subject / Platform/Brand
    • Why reinvent the wheel?
    • You already have the tools to be a success
    • give value, give resource, share others authors in your genre news
  • 5. Work Smarter | Not Harder
    • evaluate success/failures
    • learn from others
    • keep to goals
    • collaborate
  • Reminders and Tips for Social Media
    • Be Consistent/ On Schedule
    • Pick 3 and become an expert at those/ Use your mobile phone as much as possible
    • Find Time Management Software such as Hootsuite, Buffer and Others
    • Don’t just use text with great images, but also video and audio works too.
    • Use at least three relevant hashtags
    • Have fun
