I decided to peruse the top free at Smashwords to add to my library. I hadn’t done this in a long while and as I clicked to page two, low and behold I read my name.
Now at first I was confused and I checked I was at the right side in the right category and read my name again. I rubbed my eyes and I looked again.
Yep that didn’t change the fact that my book I had written in 2010, LOVE LIKE THIS, (the first in the Black Family Series) was listed as the tenth top bestseller of free downloads.
Lovely day for me!

I’m pretty stoked about the reviews the book has been getting on Smashwords and around the web.
Now I have been getting complaints from Kindle readers about the book not being available on Amazon.
Since this book is free and Amazon doesn’t offer the book for free, I can’t in my good conscious offer the book for a price on the @AmazonKindle and then offer it free everywhere else. It takes a long moment for the book to get to free on Amazon once you put it there and I’d feel guilty if people started downloading the book for pay and then it’s free when the slow wheels of Amazon start to turn.
I do hope to make the book available in paperback soon. I actually have an editor on it. Ms. @TenitaJohnson. You have my permission to bother her on Twitter and push her to hurry up for you (but don’t tell her I sent you. LOL).
Oh! If you’ve read the first book in the Black Family Series, then there are three more to go.
