Create Your Own Adventure story in Sylvia Hubbard’s Literary World!

This note is created to bring fun and feedback for my readers.

I wanted to do something different that actually interacts with my readers, but you choose the adventure.

We’re on deadline to start by July 2010 and finish by September 2010. We want to get the premise of the story up first, so we have to get some things out on the table first, but I would love for you to give me the premise.

The story will (must) take place in Detroit in present day and be suspense-romance (someone will fall in love and someone will die). If you’re not familiar with the city, then just think about any urban city setting. (Detroit has whatever you can imagine).

These will most likely be the only constraints or rules. I choose this because I’m a CONTEMPORARY WRITER. I don’t do sci-fi and nor am I a historical person. Plus, I write what I know and I know Detroit. LOL.

You’ll get a feel for my stories and won’t suggest things we’re already done.

The three things we’re starting with is:

CHARACTERS

  • Female protagonist
  • Male protagonist
  • Antagonist (can either be male or female.)

For characters, be as specific as possible. I’ve written I/R so don’t be afraid to venture into culture, color or race. I would like the female to be black though since like I said before, I write what I know. Plus, (and I know this is going to make some people mad, but) I don’t write skinny women (below a ten). I write average size woman, because I write what I know. LOL

Yet, you can describe her however you like. Also give me professions and even where they live, how they grew up and characteristics.

ANOTHER CONSTRAINT

BOTH PROTAGONISTS MUST HAVE FLAWS, ADDICTIONS OR SOMETHING PHYSICALLY WRONG WITH THEM.

That challenges me as a writer.

The most favored top three characters (of each category) will be listed on the site for voting by June and then the winner will receive a very special e-book collection mailed to them.

Like I said in the beginning, I will handle character, and theme (meaning once the voting has ended and I begin the writing, I’ll let you know where this is going.)

Choosing your own adventure isn’t just about giving you the power to create the characters and plot for me, but also, this is going to be very different where you will be able to choose how you want the story to go.

Now this won’t be a full length novel. Most likely we’ll start with a short story with twists and turns you’ll enjoy and also be able to choose.

    place Detroit, Michigan

    Man name: Hunter Longtree 6’5″ 234 lbs handsome 34 years old muscular build long black hair grey eyes burn on his right low jaw neck shoulder chest both his forearm and hands. Happen when he was 13 saving his siblings. Stay in foster care until he was 15. Older black couple in their late fifty foster him and his siblings.

    Woman name: Teleah Moorfield 25 years old 5’6″ 150 lbs cute size mirobraids brown eyes dark chocolate skin tone married for 3 years to drug addict 3 months pregnant.

    He is FBI agent trading down human traffic. She is nurse. Because of her husband drug habit she steal drugs from her job to help support his habit. She stop before she gets caught. She refuse to steal any more drugs. He become angry and scare make a deal with drug dealer and sell his wife and unborn child. Two months in hell she use one john phone to call for help after she witness a pimp killing several people. She is in witness protection until the trail. She also hook on drug. She is force addict. He protect her and helps get her clean.

    Also dealing with the Hunter past he remember been molested when was child by one of his uncle. Pulse he know who set house on fire that kill his mother. His father left the family when was 10 years. His father return cause problems for him and his siblings.

    Teleah was raise by her grandmother both parents was in jail. Meet her husband when she was 17 married him at 18. Husband name JaQuwn 30 years old 6’1″ 220 lbs short curl hair light skin tone. His parent are rich but cut him off when turn 23 yrs old. Plus they are trying to kill her. I leave rest of juice story to you. Use at your own devices work your magic.     Mary jane (and smokes plenty of it) she is a tall, dark, voluptuous woman who has raised herself since she was a child. Her parents died in a shoot out while she was hiding under her bed. The killer was never found. She wants vigilante justice. She saw the perp; he has a tat on his forearm of a crow with a pot leaf in his beak.

    She grew up in the care of her best friends family in the inner city. They were poor yet kind and generous. They kept her safe and warm. She learned from them the arts of gardening and music; how to take care of herself on the street.

    At night, Mary Jane sings with a Motown band, She loves to sing but despises the venues she is thrust into. However, her intuition tells her that she will one day run into the “black crow” and she will be ready…

    occupation: forensic nurse or interior artist
    white scottish man: Connor, Hunter, Alec, or Gaven
    occupation: FBI detative, or murder mystery writer
    2 different plot: He protect her from serial killer. The serial attack her after she finish her shift. The serial killer try to kill her but she got away.
    He writing a book about serial killer who is obcession with him. She saves his life when the serial killer attack him
    serial killer: Chicago Stalker, Dr. Jerklye killer because he attack/kill medical worker.
    I don’t know Sylvia you are the writer. HELP!!!
