Reader Update – What’s to come for Sylvia Hubbard:Please open and read

First and foremost, I’d like to thank each and everyone of you for staying, being and signing up for updates about me and my literary world.

In case you’re reading this and haven’t signed up for my updates, please do so at this time by clicking here.

I’d like you to participate in polls I’m conducting so I may have a productive following and really get to know my readers.

I’ve been out of the loop for a while.

A long while and I know that’s been awful for me and I’m so sorry.

Life happens and with three kids Murphy’s Law takes no prisoners.

So in that regards I need your help again.

In 2010, things are going to change for me. I’m going to be published as a traditional author and I need to sell books to make a good income so I can really start to do this full time.

I want to do this full time. I think if I could get rid of the full time benefit job and devote myself to my writing, I could develop beautiful stories that would leave me and YOU breathless.

Like I said, I’m asking for your help.

You see that I have the ability to produce great works of literature. I’m no Jane Austen or any other great writer… yet!

First item to help me with is to answer this question….

If your answer is yes, could you comment below on ways to bring in readers to sign up and ideas you’ve seen that would work well. (I really need that input because I want to make this work). If you’d like to help me (be a fan president, LOL) or even a moderator of a book talk, let me know this too.

If there are other comments you’d like to add, Please feel free to let me know.

Now final thing for you…

News…

Currently I am working on three things

1) finish editing Tanner’s Devil

tannersdevil cover
tannersdevil cover

2) Anthology for Bedtime stories called Straight Sex.

3) The Other Side of Love…it’s actually finished I just need to type it in and get it over with.

Now for the people that are editing those stories.

I want to set up a conference call with you. I’ll be getting in touch with you in the upcoming months to do this and then send you some style sheets so I can get those books set up on Smashword as soon as possible.

Other news:

I will be taking some content down from the http://lulu.com/sylviahubbard store very soon.

I’m going to be limiting the copies and so forth with more ebook sells toward the limited copies.

The literary blogspot world will be used only for features, short news posts and so forth while the wordpress literary world is more secure. (I’m tired of hackers.)

For now I think that will be it.

Any updates to this will be made in the comment section of this posts on my website at: http://sylviahubbard.com.

You’ll be seeing this message mentioned again in the upcoming weeks (about twice a month) until 2010. If you’ve answered the questions fine, but if you see it again, it’ll be a friendly reminder to let you know good things are going to come and to let other readers know to sign up for my mailing lists.

  1. Sylvia,
Did I miss something I don’t recall Emperor’s Addiction being available for purchase. All I saw was an excerpt. Where can I purchase it from.

  2. Emperor’s Heart, Eve’s Deception and Dark Facade are finished and complete.

There are some readers that have had the fortune to read them all the way through, but I’m waiting for a large publishing contract before I release them along with two others that are sequels to some of the other novels.

    Anymore questions?

  3. Congrats on becoming a traditional published author, Sylvia. I’m very happy for you and I say it’s about time somebody put you on their publishing roster.

I responded to all of the polls. Although I was not among the fortunate to have read Dark Facade in its entirety, you KNOW how I feel about that book as a reader. As a fellow writer, I completely understand shelving certain books that will help you make your mark even more in the industry.

So keep doing you. Best wishes in all of your literary ventures!

  4. Hi Sylvia, I edited Sin’s Inequity for you, but I haven’t heard anything about that book coming out. I also didn’t see any mention of A Little Bit of Sin (WIP) being completed. I hope your new venture in to main stream goes well for you. If you wish me to continue as one of your editors, please contact me. Take care Irene (RICE) 🙂

  5. Hi Sylvia glad to hear from you and congraduation…you go girl!!! I am so happy to hear from you. I know everything will work out for you. I was not one of fortunate people to read all of DARK FACADE, EMPEROR’S HEART and I did not get the chance to read EVE DECEPTION. So when will I and we get the chance to read those stories. BTW young lady when are you going to finish writing A LITTLE BIT OD SIN. I know you are cliffhanger Queen

  6. Like i said before i’m going to have to keep some books to myself until someone drops a nice sum in my lap to make me give them up.

A little bit of sin was actually put in the wrong category but now that the voting has started on it, i didn’t want to change anything.

it’s in the short story category but it is supposed to be a work in progress.

thanks for all your support and i seriously do miss you all.

  7. Hey Sylvia,

like the rest congratulations. I think Facebook is a great medium but i dont have a face book (im rebeling against the system) i think the great thing with word press is that you dont have to be a member to read content. i guess what you can do is like make a paid membership club or something.

you have an interesting body of work going there for you. soooo… thats good .

    keep the work up.

  8. I don’t have an eReader, so I’ve never read any of your ebooks. I’ve read “Sin’s Iniquity” and “Love Like This.” Do you plan to publish other Interracial books in print?

  9. Edan… If you go to the smashwords site you can read books such as Diary of A and others with an html (meaning right online). Plus there’s a special viewer you can use as well to read the book too.

  10. Hi Sylvia I see you start a new free read THE MYSTERIOUS MR.BLACK. My problem is how do I obtain the password…what must I do? I think I fiqure it out I hope!

  11. Hi Sylvia,

I have been unable to get the password to read `THE MYSTERIOUS MR.BLACK’. Would be of great help if you let me know how to get it…

    Thanks and regards….
