Going Beyond:  Southfield Public Library’s Books & Beyond Festival
Brings Free Entertainment and Education to Community
Southfield, MI – There is something for everyone at Southfield Public Library’s second annual Southfield Books & Beyond Festival on September 16 & 17 from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. The two-day festival is open to the public and will offer visitors free, family-friendly events on the front lawn-as well as in the Auditorium, Meeting Room and Tower Lobby-of the Library.
All ages are welcome to meet authors, be enchanted by a magician, listen to a great storyteller, get advice on writing your own book and celebrate books as a valuable source of learning, information and entertainment. “The Books and Beyond Festival is a natural outgrowth of all we do at the Southfield Public Library,” said City Librarian Douglas A. Zyskowski. “We strive to bring the best authors, as well as the best literature, to the residents of Southfield.”
