  1. Been wating on this chapter sense you started the story and I must say if that happened to me as a child I probably would not want to have sex nether ….lat along be nice to people….I really did not expect it to be that tragic ,but I must say you keep me on my toes . Keep up the good work. Sylvia ….

      1. Im glad you think its simple. Blair has her work cut out for her. That is EXTREMELY TRAUMATIC. There’s no wonder why the shrink couldn’t get through.

      2. LOl. this one made me crack up SDunn! Really? I never got past the second book of 50shades so I’m not sure how screwed is screwed. I actually drew this from a real life experience I read about a guy. His mother made him perform not only on her but other women as well when he was young before he was adopted out and the mother served time for her crimes against him.

  2. Oh no you didnt just leave me hanging like that…..but i love that about your writing. I have to say I did not expect that at all. Very emotional chapter. Cant wait for the next one. I intentionally did not read this story when it started , I waited till chapter 35 before I started and I still read it all in one day and had to wait a whole day for chap 36. When will I ever learn? Once I start reading one of your stories I cant stop. Needless to say I don’t do well with live stories……waiting with baited breath….

  3. It’s so sad. No human is supposed to go through this kind of torturous life much less a kid of 5yrs. No wonder Sterling is like that with women. What kind of a sick mother could he have had? I hope he overcomes his turmoil after opening up to Blair. He deserves to be happy. I think Shadow should listen to this or does she know already?

As usual, Sylvia you did a great job in creating this chapter. Wish you all the best of luck in finishing this book. I love it so far. Mwaaah

  4. Wow that was really deep Sylvia, very well written. I could feel Sterling’s pain. I no longer think of him as an a$$hole. Can’t wait to find out more about his past.

  5. OMG! THAT WITCH !!! HOW COULD A MOTHER do that to her children. I never in my wildest dreams would have thought this was his demon. I knew molestation was involved but not to this extent. Only you Sylvia can bring the drama & suspense to this level. Blair really has her work cut of for her. Im wondering what the connection is with Shadow. She is REALLY PISSING ME OFF messing with him. This man has endured so much & needs love to heal. Maybe he can form a bond with Lannie since she’s named after his sister. That really was cruel for Shadow to do. Was his sister buried at the property? Why else would he name it after her? Ugh. I cant wait for MORE ! Im like a fein needing a fix. I need another hit from Ms Hubbard. Lol

  6. OMG… that raggedy b*tch, I feel so bad for Sterling. Hell him and Blair have so much in common. If Shadow knows the whole story then she is a serious a-hole for picking at him. I’m just ready to find out her reasoning behind picking at somebody with issues beyond his fixing. I figured big man was king heart but he knows him right? Great update can’t wait to read more

  7. This chapter is deep. For a parent to abuse a child like that need to be shot. Children never asked to be born but to endure such torture is wrong. Hopefully Blair will protect Sterling’s childhood from Shadow. Blair should really use the time to help heal her and Sterling. Hopefully Sterling’s mother received the max time for her crime.

  8. WOW!!!!!!!!!! Thst really was DEEP!!!!!!!!!!! There are really great authors out there but you Ms. Hubbard are a phenomenal author. Any author that can extract emotions like that from their readers are authors that I call phenomenal authors. You extracted anger(at the mother and the man), sadness, empathy, sorrow, and tears(for Sterling and his sister) from me all in one chapter. Now, that’s what I call true writer that can write and make her stories believable. I am sure there are others out there that agrees with me. Please keep up the great work and don’t stop. You have a God given talent that needs to shared with others.

    Your loyal fan,
    Stephanie

  9. I know I wanted to know Sterling’s story but I was not mentally prepared for that. Sterling and Blair are made for one another, where one is weak the other is strong.
