When I started Wicked Chances officially on November 1st, I pretty much met only Sterling Newman in my head.

A Cold SOB, Sterling Newman had some past problems that really messed him up. I wouldn’t say messed up like some of my characters (i.e. The Mysterious Mr. Black) but he had some things that happened to him in the past that made it “difficult” for him in the present.
So now that I’m in the meat of things. I mean really in the gunk and I’m piling up the tension more and more, readers in the story have asked several times offline and DM on twitter, “Hey, Sylvia, I can’t stand the suspense so when is the crap going to hit the fan?”
Two live stories ago, readers came up with the term SHTF. (Shit Hit The Fan.)
That’s when all the stuff together comes up and starts to blow so hard it’s like standing in front of a fan and FEELING the crap just come up on you.
In this story, I have a lot of crap about the hit the fan.
I mean with Sterling’s mess, Blair’s mess and the sub story of Shadow’s mess, it’s about to go down.
Seriously go down.
I’m hoping this story will be a little over 75K. Well I know it will because I’m looking at the 35K now on my screen and I got a lot more to figure out.
So when will the SHTF come?
I’d say about the 60K… I think. Dont hold me to it.

Synopsis:
A woman with her children on the run from her past swears never to be another man’s whore. Now her baby’s father turns up dead and not only is his loan shark after her, but the police are after her as well.
Yet, when the malevolent, real estate accountant, Sterling Newman, finds out she is the key to completing his dream property, he blackmails her into marriage or turn her over to police.
Forced to marry in order to save her life and the life of her children, she vows to hate him forever. Yet, somehow he finds a way to make her body betray her heart.

I like and am enjoying Mr Sterling just as you see him. I wouldn’t mind having him in my life. After all what man is perfect — and come on — I presonally like a little “kinky” now and then to spice it up a touch.
